I think mockingbirds are a central metaphor in the book because they are portrayed as innocent and beautiful beings. Also I think they represent the goodness in humans which is why Atticus said it was a sin to kill a mockingbird. In chapter 9 when there is the incident between Scout and Uncle Jack there is an excellent example of point of view. Scout teaches Uncle Jack a valuable life lesson on how to listen to both sides of the story before making decisions. The point of view part of this is that his point of view is to just hear what happened and punish from there. Hers is that you need to hear both sides beofre making decisions. Well I look forward to the Trial.

The childhood world of Scout, Jem, and Dill is all about finding out about other people and their stories. Boo Radley is their current venture and he is going to play a major bit in what they are going to do for the summers they spend with eachother. I have no idea what role he will play, but he will have a big one. I believe he will represent all that is fearful and mysterious.

I have researched To Kill A Mockingbird and its about many things. First its about a girl whose name is Scout Finch who lives with her brother and her widowed father in the Maycomb countryside in Alabama. In Maycomb they are suffering through the Great Depression, but she is better off in comparison to the rest of the townspeople since her father is a prominent lawyer. According to the information I found, her and her brother befriend a boy whom they decide to call Dill. He is there for the summer and they find intrest in the Radley Place. It is owned by Mr. Radley and his brother “Boo” Radley. When Dill leaves after the summer Scout and her brother start finding gifts in a knothole in a tree at the Radley Place. Then Dill returns the following summer and they act out the story of Boo Radley. Eventually Scout’s father outs a stop to their antics. When they decide to sneak onto the Radley Porperty Mr. Radley shoots at them and Scout’s brother loses his pants. Later they find them fixed on their fence. Dill leaves in the winter again and they continue to find presents in the knothole, but Mr. Radley fills it with cement. I think this book will be about finding out about the Radleys and their past. Also about who is giving them the presents and other very interesting things. Hope the book is good and I hope it is going to be enjoyable.
